Travel Resources

For your convenience, here are some important travel resources such as travel insurance and airline contact information.

Why Buy Travel Insurance?

Credit Card insurance may not have complete insurance coverage. Like home or car insurance, travel insurance provides peace of mind. You and your travel investment are covered.

How would your extended family pay to have your bills (or your return trip) taken care of with no insurance? A 1-800 (or collect) number is available worldwide to reach a claims adjustor for emergency service.

A Plan for Every Need

All-Inclusive (AI)  plan usually provides the best coverage at the best price, combining a variety of coverage in one package.

Medical coverage (included in AI plan) offers protection from any unexpected emergency medical situations that arise during travel.

Trip Interruption and Trip Cancellation coverage (included in AI) offers protection before and during travel, offering reimbursement for non-refundable costs when a trip must be adjusted due to weather or schedule changes or cancelled (for covered causes). If there is a need to return home before the trip is complete, you’ll receive payment or reimbursement per policy terms.

Baggage Loss and Delay coverage (included in AI) offers protection to purchase replacement clothing up to policy limits if your bags go astray.

Flight/Accident Insurance … because accidents can happen (included in AI).

Rental Car Insurance so you’re prepared when renting a car almost anywhere in the world. Avoid spending valuable vacation time sorting out insurance claims.

Travel Supplier default (Bankruptcy) Purchase your travel insurance at time of booking so you also have coverage if the supplier (e.g. Air Canada Vacations, Sunwing) goes bankrupt.

If you are considering trip cancellation insurance, purchase as soon as possible so coverage (and your ability to be covered) can start right away.

*Be sure to read the policy in full to understand the benefits and limitations.
